Dimapur, April 4 (EMN): Minister for Agriculture and Cooperation G Kaito Aye, who is also minister in-charge of the district for Covid-19 pandemic, visited Zunheboto district on April 4 to assess the current situation and preparedness of all the concerned departments in the district.

An update from DIPR informed that the minister, in his brief interaction with the heads of concerned government departments, district task force, monitoring team, church leaders, ZCCI, public leaders, volunteers and party workers, lauded their efforts, saying that their “selfless efforts so far has been heart warming and exemplary”.

However, he warned that tougher times might not have arrived yet and asked the participants to be prepared for the worst; prepared mentally and physically in fighting the virus. He also urged the medical department to be precise on its immediate requirements and assured of every possible help from his side and the government.

Aye, on behalf of the government, appealed to the church leaders to always keep the people of Nagaland in their prayers.

Earlier during the interaction, Dy. CMO Dr. Akaho Sema presented a report on behalf of the medical department, while ZCCI president Kikheto Muru resented on preparedness and stocks of essential commodities, and ADS Food and Civil Supplies have a detailed report of rice availability in the district.
