Dimapur, May 19 (EMN): The Naga Hoho believes that the Nagaland government should call in the Central Bureau of Investigations and the National Investigation Agency to probe recent reports that assassins were hired to assassinate a ‘Naga politician.’
The organisation issued a press release to the media on Sunday stating that the matter was serious enough to warrant thorough investigation to expose the ‘conspirators’ without delay.

“The attention of the Naga people is drawn over the confession made by arrested gangster claiming to have taken contract to kill a politician from Nagaland state after the Lok Sabha elections which is very disturbing and a shocker to all humanities (sic),” the press release stated.

“Indeed, it is something unbelievable to have unearthed such a sinister design from a most wanted criminal Mr. Vijay Farmana as reported by Hindustan Times on 18th May, 2019.”

The organisation asserted as fact that the Naga society and its ‘ethos’ were ‘very unique that we cannot accept under any circumstances such malice to fellow citizens.’

“While acknowledging the immediate steps taken by Nagaland police, the Naga Hoho feels that the state government through Home commissioner should invite CBI and NIA to thoroughly investigate the ‘gangster’s claim’ and authenticate the conspirator (s) and expose to the people without any procrastination,” the updates added.
