Dimapur, Feb. 9 (EMN): Hitting out strongly against casual attitude of officers in the district, chief medical officer (CMO), Peren, Dr. Denis Hangsing has warned of stern action against erring officers as per resolutions adopted in the earlier meetings.
Dr. Hangsing stated this while addressing the monthly district review meeting held in the CMO’s conference hall at new district headquarters on February 7. While reminding the members of the past resolutions, he has conveyed stern warning against officers who wilfully stay away from work. In the event of emergency, he has directed all the concerned officers to apply leave through proper channel by routing either through the concerned medical officer in-charge and then to the chief medical officer in written.

Highlighting on the order given for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, he urged the officers to maintain sincerity at work and request them to be in their respective place of posting.

Also speaking on the occasion, Elizabeth, DPM, informed that the state health agency (Ayushman Bharat – National Health Protection Mission (AB-NHPM/ PMJAY Scheme) in collaboration with Apollo Munich Insurance Company would be conducting a beneficiary identification drive (BIS drive) for identification of AB- PMJAY beneficiaries. She also informed that a basic health check-up camp would be conducted at CHC Jalukie on February 12.

She also informed about the training on bio-waste management, which would be held in all the four blocks. She has requested all the health units/ workers to submit the new format for VHND and to do away with the old one to ensure quality reporting.
DPM also made a power point presentation on National Health Mission workings and its human resource: the roles and responsibilities in the district.

A district level workshop on National Immunisation Day (NID) was also conducted by Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir, district programme officer UIP/RCH. During the workshop, she had highlighted about the NID – global and national polio update; surveillance; AFP surveillance and environmental surveillance; current risks to polio programme in India; polio eradication and endgame strategic plan 2013-18- identification and planning for high risk areas; micro planning; review of micro plans for strengthening SIA quality; planning trainings, ensuring inter-sectoral coordination and effective supervision.
She also informed that IPPI would be held on March 10.

District programme officers (DPOs), medical officers, nurses, pharmacists, DAPCU staff, district and block program management unit staff NHM attended the review meeting. The next review meeting has been fixed on March 5.
