CM Chang for expediting approval of KfW project

Dimapur, Nov. 27 (EMN): Minister for environment and forest, and climate change, CM Chang reviewed the progress of externally aided project, particularly the KfW Project which is under consideration by the Government of India, and expressed his desire for the project proposal of Nagaland to be expeditiously processed and approved. The minister re-evaluated the Kfw project at a review meeting on externally-aided  projects in the forestry and conservation sector held at Nagaland House, New Delhi on Nov. 27. The KfW, formerly KfW Bankengruppe (banking group), is a German government-owned development bank, based in Frankfurt. The minister was accompanied by officials from the department of forest and climate change viz. Satya Prakash TRipathi, principal chief conservator of Forest and Chief Wildlife Warden and Dharmendra Prakash, Assl. PCCF and CEO Nagaland Forest Management Project.

During the meeting, the minister also expressed his desire for formulating a concept note to be submitted for securing support from Korean Overseas Development Assistance Programme.

The meeting was attended by Sangeeta Agarwal, Senior Sector Specialist, Natural Resource Management, KfW office, New Delhi.  It was also attended by Prabal Vikram Singh, the Country Manager and Harshita Singh from Oxford Policy Management, UK.
