‘Catch them Young’ tournament in Dimapur from October 2

Dimapur, Sep. 14 (EMN): The District Sports Officer, Dimapur in an update on Saturday stated that it will be conducting the U-14 “Catch them Young” district Tournament at the Government Higher Secondary School ground in Nagarjan from October 2 to the 4^th.

The disciplines are football for boys and track and field events: 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, long jump, high jump, shot-put, and 4 x 100 relay race for both boys and girls.

The update also stated that players born on or after August 15, 2005 are eligible to take part in the tournament and players must bring their original Aadhaar Card for age verification at the time of tournament.

All interested schools/football club/organisation/colony etc can participate in the district tournament by sending a confirmation on or before September 31, to the District Sports Office, Dimapur.

The selected players will represent Dimapur district in the 12^th Inter-district U-14 “Catch them Young” Tournament at the IG Stadium in Kohima, added the update.
