Phek town inter-colony tournament: Bethel colony, Hebron- I colony win

Kohima, Jan. 14 (EMN): The 16th edition of Phek town inter-colony tournament-cum-Sukrunye festival entered the sixth day on Tuesday at Phek town.
Bethel colony clinched the championship title in women’s volleyball by defeating Jerico- II colony in the final, while Hebron- I colony emerged champions of men’s volleyball after beating Hebron-II colony in the final match played on Tuesday.
The winners and runners-up of both men and women category in volleyball received a cash prize of INR 54,000 and INR 36,000 respectively.
In men’s football, Hebron- I colony will take on Zion colony in the final today, January 15.
Meanwhile, an exhibition football match will be played between Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS) and Phek District Veteran Football Association before the title match on January 15. Star players of the veteran side include Sachin, deputy commissioner of Phek and Vesupra Kezo, Superintendent of Police Phek. Star players of PTYS include Chosuneyi Soho and Angulie Nienu.
Meanwhile, Dr. Kuvezochi Hoshi, general secretary (Central), NDPP, will attend Sukrunye celebration on January 15.
