Basketball coaching camp organised at Shalom Bible Seminary
Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): The Shalom Bible Seminary (SBS) in collaboration with Dimapur District Basketball Association (DDBA) conducted a 2-day ‘On-Campus Basketball Coaching Camp’ at Shalom Bible Seminary in Sechü-Zubza, Kohima.
According to an update, 33 trainees; 21 men and 12 women including students, faculty and alumnus took part in the coaching camp.
Coaches Rajan Nayak and Chumben Lotha associated with DDBA assisted in the coaching camp. Dr. Sanyu Iralu, Principal of SBS said that the coaching camp was organised to enhance Shalom’s greater involvement in youth ministry.
On the first day, the routine was focused on “how to prepare during practice” doing full body warm up, exercises and conditioning drills which was followed by stretching.
And on the second day, the focus was on “how to prepare before game” using the drills for full body warm up (before game), exercise (before game) and shooting skills (according to game situations) which was followed by stretching exercises.
Secretary of DDBA Senti Longkumer stated that DDBA is wholly committed to involve in coaching for budding players from the district in future.
