Baptist College hosts literature festival

Kohima, Aug. 10 (EMN): Baptist College in Kohima organised a literary event called the BCK Literature Fest 2019 in collaboration with a group called ‘Backstage Campaign.’

The event was conducted in the premises of the college. Members of nine colleges from and within Kohima participated in the programme.

During the event, various resource persons spoke about television journalism, entrepreneurship, music, and writing etc.

Besides, competitions in making memes, writing poetry and sketching were organised for the students. Winners were given prizes. Further, a book fair, stalls for crafts and food, and photo booths among others were also a feature of the event.

Further, there was an interactive session for participants and Sentilong Ozukum, author of a book ‘Campus Blues & Sincerely Yours.’

The literature festival began with an invocation prayer by Lhounyü Dolie.

Winners of poetry writing: Chatatu Thurr of Baptist College at Kohima took the first prize, Grace Keditsu of Don Bosco College in Kohima the second, and Vikosato Thou-u of Baptist College Kohima took the third prize.

Winners of pencil sketching: Phaoniu Shio of St. Joseph’s College took the first prize, Thujovoto of Sazolie College the second, and Kikrusatuo Kets of Baptist College took the third prize.

Winners of meme competition: Duokie Vimerha of Baptist College took the first prize, Pfühoukho-u Sanchu of Baptist College the second, and Kunungoyi Chizo of Japfü Christian College took the third prize.
