Autumn-themed sales day begins in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, Oct. 10 (EMN): A three-day sales day dubbed the ‘D Colour of Autumn’ and organized by Ladies’ Club of Mokokchung began on Thursday at the MMC complex in Mokokchung.

The district horticulture officer Kilemsungba was the special invitee to the inaugural programme. He said at the programme that there was ample scope in horticulture, floriculture and forestry in Nagaland. However, he lamented, the public lacks knowledge in these sectors.

In this connection, he urged the members of the club and the gathering to explore bigger market avenues.

The featured products at the D Colour of Autumn are cut flowers, potted plants, and foliage; indigenous food items, carry bags, handmade jewellery, among others.

Ladies Club formed in 1982 has 40 plus members. The sales day is in aid of a building construction fund.
