Kohima, Nov. 30 (EMN): The Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat on Saturday bid adieu to retiring officers on November 30 in Kohima.

The deputy speaker of the assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, appreciated the effort of the retiring officials for their dedication and devotion that contributed to the working system of the Secretariat.

“Always remember God will not take us to a place where his grace cannot sustain us,” he told officials.

Longkumer exhorted the officers and staff saying that “regardless of talent, real success is bred by working together as a team.” He advised them to share positive feedback, be respectful, supportive and organised and make the office a pleasant place to work.

The deputy speaker maintained that ‘a new beginning for Naga people in the few months to come with the peaceful conclusion of the negotiations.”

He expressed the desire to make the state legislative assembly Secretariat one of the best establishments in Northeast region, if not in India, with the support and efforts of its personnel. PRO to speaker, Medo Yhokha also conveyed the message of the speaker. He expressed appreciation to the retiring officials for their service and wished them well in their retired life.

The retiring officials also gave their speeches and advised the subordinate officers and staff to support one another, respect and to have good working relations. Speeches on behalf of officers and staff were also delivered during the event.
