Assam Rifles continues with civic action programmes

Dimapur, Jan. 2 (EMN): Kohima battalion of the Assam Rifles has organised a motivational lecture cum awareness programme on ‘Stay fit stay healthy’ at Modern Academy, New Minister Hill, Kohima, on January 2.
According to an Assam Rifles press release, the lecture had covered on importance of healthy diet and the benefits of staying fit. The participants were made aware of the common diseases caused by unhealthy diet and lifestyle.
Altogether, 107 students and 08 teachers have attended the same.
Earlier on December 29, Kohima battalion of the Assam Rifles also conducted a lecture on ‘skill development’ at Jotsoma village community hall. An Assam Rifles press release stated that importance of honing of skills to enhance employment opportunities was covered and discussed during the session. Altogether, 20 local youth have participated in the programme.

In another programme, Kiphire battalion of the Assam Rifles conducted a lecture on “Education for progression” at Agape High School in Kiphire town on December 31.
The aim of the lecture was to impart awareness among the students on the importance of education for them as well as the society and nation. It stated that special emphasis was laid on how education could help in personal growth along with the family and society.

A total of 125 students along with teaching staff attended the lecture.
The same battalion also conducted a lecture on ‘Education for progression’ at Trinity High School, Kiphire, on January 2. The aim of the lecture was to create awareness on importance of education not only for themselves as students but for the family and society as well. Altogether 65 students attended the lecture.
