Arms licensees ordered to deposit arms

Dimapur, March 12 (EMN): The electoral establishment of Mokokchung district has ordered arms licensees to deposit their arms at the nearest police stations.
The returning officer for the district Rajesh Soundararajan has informed that the directive is an exercise for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, and the by-elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly for the 26th Aonglenden assembly constituency.

Arms License holders in the district are directed to deposit their arms licences and the weapon at the nearest police station on or before March 30.

Failure to deposit the license and weapon within the stipulated time will result in cancellation of the licence, the IPR stated in its Tuesday updates.
