Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): To create awareness about the advantages of good health and healthy lifestyle amongst the villagers, Assam Rifles conducted a lecture at Old Peren on September 14.
Besides the lecture, Assam Rifles also organised a free medical health check-up. A defence release stated that the effort was appreciated by the district medical authority and also provided a dedicated team of doctor and supporting staff. It added that a total of 112 villagers including children, women and men of all ages attended the awareness cum health check-up camp.
During the lecture, the villagers were briefed about the advantages of good health and proper sanitation. They were also informed about various government schemes like Aayushman Bharat, Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojna, PMSSY, Indradhanush Mission, Rashtriya Baal Swasthya Yojna and many more.
Meanwhile, the villagers have expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles for conducting the programme.
