Respected Sir/Ma’am
This is in response to an article published in Eastern Mirror on Thursday, the 17th May, 2018; on page 1: under the heading “Naga people nothing in common with India — Adinno Phizo” and another article published in page 6, under the heading “Speech of NNC President on 67th Anniversary of Naga Plebiscite.
Reference: 2nd paragraph: last line. Quote open: The strange thing is that no honest Indian among a billion people. Quote close.
What does Respected and Honourable President Adino Phizo mean by this sentence?
Firstly: Would she be courteous or kind enough to clarify, explain or elaborate on this sentence.
Secondly: My question to Her Respectable President is “How well does she know India or Indian citizens?
Such a derogatory sentence uttered from such Honourable, Respectable and Responsible person/leader/human being: to whom the whole of Nagaland looks upto; is unexpected or is uncalled for. I feel that My/our relation; My/our Love for Nagaland or say its people, My Honesty, My Integrity and My/our relationship with them and My/our association with Nagaland, all these past decades or so, is being questioned.
I have always been a well wisher and besides me, there are many a people who is a well wisher of the Naga people who have been selflessly helping and working with the Naga people on our side/area, and other parts too; since 1920’s and I particularly, since Jan. 1985 and then again from 1994 till date. Because, I loved the values you’ll (Naga people) uphold/upheld; whether honesty, attitude to life and especially the customary law, etc, etc. For, Naga-land is a gift of God.
As a layman or a lay person like me, it hurts my/our sentiments and all other Indians who are associated with the Naga people or Nagaland or is working to make Nagaland prosperous; to read such a sentence; and any person in his/her right or sound mind will question himself or herself, of the feelings I or they have and harbor for the Naga people as a whole. A person like me: am known to my Naga friends & well wishers as an honest, helpful, truthful and integrated man. I never extracted or gained a single penny from Nagaland; but instead I lost approximately Rs.36,00,00.00 (thirty six lacs) plus or so; and now I can’t give a decent education to my two children; because of my kind nature; because I am not an exploiter. I don’t blame anyone for the loss.
This is a very derogatory and irresponsible sentence. I could have overlooked this article, like many other articles I have overlooked in the past; but in this phase of globalisation and look east policy evolved to Act East policy: in this evolution of civilization, towards divination; with time as witness: mankind as a whole is moving to a new and elevated phase towards divinity; in a globally connected world; I seek a response. For this sentence has touched my sentiments; at a time when we the new generation is trying to get connected by emotionally bonding and live as one; and to live in a border-less world; we are already working towards realizing this vision. In the shortest sentence – Hoping and praying to open the Gates to the Golden Ages or Era – together.
I ardently request you to kindly look into this matter, with a most judicious approach; for the welfare of the next generation of Nagaland and India: with the world -as a whole.
My conscience seeks a clarification.
To all whom it may concern, this article should not be politicised.
