All Nagaland Don Bosco Schools’ tournament held

Dimapur, Oct. 13 (EMN): The 5th all Nagaland Don Bosco Schools tournament 2018 was held from Oct. 12-13 at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Kohima according to an update received here on Sat. Oct. 13.

Over 370 students and staff from seven Salesian Schools namely Don Bosco Mon, Don Bosco Wokha, Don Bosco Dimapur, Don Bosco Zubza, Don Bosco Kohima, Christ King Kohima, and Little Flower Kohima, participated in basketball and volleyball matches.

Transport Commissioner, government of Nagaland Elias T Lotha was the special invitee for the closing ceremony on Oct. 13. Lotha in his speech appreciated the Salesians for being faithful in accompanying the young in their life journey. He said that the Salesians through sports and other activities make the youth discover their talents and teach them to excel in it. He further added that God has a plan for we are created in the image of God. And we have the responsibility to honour and uphold the divinity that is in us. He invited the young people to build human society beyond barriers of tribe, religions and language. He exhorted the youth to live a purpose filled life and share the good things with the world and make this world a better place by your good deeds.

He also gave away the certificates and trophies to the teams.
