63 violations reported during lockdown

Dimapur, March 29(EMN): Principal secretary to the state government Abhijit Sinha, on March 28, issued a report on law and order and facilitation of essential goods and services. According to a press update, the report stated that there were 63 violations of the lockdown, seven FIRs were lodged, 25 persons were arrested and 17 vehicles were seized in the state. However, no law and order incidents were reported, it read.

Shops for food grains and groceries were open in all the districts except for Kiphire, which opens on alternate days. Medicinal shops were also opened in all the districts. According to the report, no restrictions were imposed on movement of commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and service providers like electricity, telecommunication, fuel etc. in the state, read the statement.

Further, in Dimapur permits were issued to commercial vehicles transporting essential commodities and shops were opened from 8 am to 2 pm. The Jain Samaj distributed food in Dimapur, it added.
