Dimapur, Dec. 17 (EMN): An organisation representing the Ahthibung and Kebai Khelma areas have issued a message appealing that a youth reported to have been abducted by unidentified individuals be released soon.

A note from an organisation appended simply ‘ZKPO,’ possibly the Zeliang and Kuki Public Organization, on Sunday said that about 20 days had passed since one Lalneiniew Saith, son of Ngaithangniew Saith of Khelma village, was abducted by unidentified miscreants. The note was in image format and the date of abduction was not legible. The note was appended by President Lamjasei Singson and Vice President Rangnim of the ZKPO.

‘… and his whereabouts is unreachable and unnoticed (sic) till date which brings fear and panic during this Christmas season in Ahthibung and Kebai Khelma area,’ the organisation stated.

The public and the ZKPO, the note said, are in anguish over the abduction of the youth. ‘Every individual should be freely allowed to observe the birth of Christ with their families loved and dear ones, far and near,’ the message read.

‘Therefore the general public and the ZKPO appeal for peace and harmony to prevail during Christmas eve and urge for the timely release of the abducted youth at the earliest as Christmas is knocking at the doorstep, the birth of prince of peace,’ it added.
