Ziekezou SC thrash Nagabazar FC 5-1 to keep the pressure on Khriekesa FC

Kohima, August 22 (EMN): Ziekezou SC humiliated 3rd placed Nagabazar FC 5-1 at the ongoing Kohima Football League on Tuesday to keep the pressure on league leaders Khriekesa FC.
With the win, Ziekezou SC remained in second position with 9 points from 5 games, and a point below league leaders Khriekesa FC, while Nagabazar slipped to 6th place with the defeat.
Sloppy defence in the second half paid the price for Nagabazar FC as Ziekezou managed to score four successive goals in 31 second-half minutes.
Kekhriesetuo Khro opened the account Ziekezou in the 30th minute as his teammate Kakhevi Assumi set him up the goal. Nagabazar on the other side lacked the scoring touch as they failed to beat the keeper despite the numerous attempts.
The second-half saw sloppy defence from Nagabazar FC as Kekhriesetuo Tsira scored the second goal in 48th minute assisted by Kakhevi Assumi. Six minutes later, Keneinguze Pienyii breached the defence and scored the third goal and Vinoka Sumi piled up the misery of Nagabazar as he scored the fourth in 56th minute for New Market.
Kakhevi Assumi with two assists in the match added his name in the score-sheet in 79th minute. But there was no denying for Kezhose in the goal tally, as he managed to pull a goal back in 87th minute for Nagabazar.
During the match, Kezevituo Vizo of Nagabazar and Kekhriesetuo Tsira) of Ziekezou were cautioned.

New Market moves in to 4th place

New Market FC scored two late goals in the second half to overcome stubborn Addax FC 2-0 in the second match and secure three important points. With 8 points from 5 matches, New Market is in the 4th place, and two points below league leaders Khriekesa FC.
Gideon Leo scored his first goal for New Market after playing five matches through an assist from Chisie Ngusou in the 72nd minute. Ngusou added the second goal in 86th minute to finish the game.
A yellow card was awarded to captain Imlongchaba of Addax during the match.
