Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Zone-II and chief guest, Dr. KPA Ilyas, appealed to the elders and leaders to speak to the youth about the “beauty and fine legacy” of the Nagas. While observing that many young people from other districts get into the influence of alcohol and other habits after coming to Dimapur, he urged the leaders to give priority and guide them in the right path. Ilyas also encouraged the gathering not to be disheartened by the present condition of the state but to look deeper into the quality of human being present in Nagaland society which according to him is at par with the rest of the world. “The dignity, languages spoken and the skill and talent in Nagaland are not small qualities to be set aside,” he said adding that the talent and skills would be spotted and placed at the highest level of any organisations. Convenor, L Shahoto said that the main objective of the carnival was to motivate the youth who are not only unemployed but also for the employed youngsters to showcase their talents.
