Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): Members of the youth department of Zunheboto Town Sumi Baptist Church (ZTSBC) undertook a cleanliness drive, on April 13 at Zunheboto cemetery in the town.
A press release issued by the ZTSBC stated that 220 youth volunteers along with advisors and church elders participated in the cleanliness work at the town cemetery, stated to be located at Laghilato colony.
According to the updates, the event drew a positive response from the citizens and volunteers especially the youths.
The volunteers are said to have cleared thick overgrowth, and collected waste and subsequently disposing them off. The updates stated that the cleaning went on for hours.
A similar sanitation programme was conducted in Peren district too. A group called the Team Clean in Peren conducted a mass cleanliness drive in various locations.
The volunteers filled potholes along roads between Ngwalwa village and Jalukie town, a press release from the team stated on Sunday.
