Youth fellowship celebrates golden jubilee

Mokokchung, Dec. 10 (EMN): The Aongza Youth Fellowship (AYF), a fellowship of the Mokokchung Town Baptist Church’s (MTBA) youth department, celebrated its 50th anniversary with Rev. Ponen Longchar, pastor of the MTBA, as the main speaker of the event on Dec. 10.
Addressing the celebrations, the speaker said that God had showered abundant blessing and love upon the congregation in Aongza. The church leader said to have served as a president of the Aongza Fellowship’s youth ministry in his prime days. His life justifies the testimony of God’s blessing and love to the people, the gathering was told.
Asserting that God’s love comes without boundary and is immeasurable, the reverend said, ‘If people understand Almighty’s love than they will understand the power of forgiveness and thoughts of vengeance will be cast away from their hearts.’
The pastor encouraged that congregation not to take God’s love for granted ‘but to live and share the everlasting love of God everywhere they go and show love to others whoever comes to them.’ Music commemorating the jubilee was performed by Aongza Youth Choir and Kichutip Youth Fellowship.
