Youth called to build progressive society

Dimapur, Jan. 15 (EMN): Class-I contractor Z Kasheto Yeptho has underlined the need for a resolved generation of youth to build a progressive society in order to curb corruption, which according to him has affected every aspect in the Naga society.
Addressing the valedictory session of the three-day 42nd general conference of Khaghaboto Area Students’ Union (KASU) at L Hotovi village on January 14, which was held on the theme ‘Utilitarian knowledge,’ Kasheto urged upon the students, who constituted the backbone and future leaders of the society, to build a progressive society free from corruption.
Stating that every individual has obligation to contribute towards wellbeing of the society, Kasheto said the youth have greater responsibility in shaping the future of the society. Also elucidating that education is an important tool to transform the society, he encouraged the students to focus on attaining the best of education by making proper use of the information available at their disposal.
He also reminded the students never to allow pride to take control of their lives stating it is one main factor that could lead to their downfall in life. He rather advised them to remain humble before God and be sincere and dedicated in anything they do in life.
Encouraging the students to be committed in their studies, he announced to give a cash award of INR 50,000 to any topper under KASU in the HSLC examinations 2018 and another INR one lakh to topper in the competitive examinations during this financial year.
He concluded his remarked by urging the students to maintain good moral values in life.
