Yimchungru organisations mourn demise of church leader

Dimapur, Feb. 24 : Yimchunger organisations have expressed pain at the demise of a church leader, Rev. M. Hankiu Joshua, said to be a former Mission Secretary of the YBBA, on February 24 in a fatal car accident at Dimapur.
The Western Yimchungru Hoho and Western Yimchungru Student’s Union issued a condolence message on February 24. The message stated that he succumbed to injuries at Referral Hospital in Dimapur.
“The Lt. M. Hankiu Joshua was the first person to seek foreign education in theological studies at Philippines. The community placed him in a high regard for his dedication in a church ministry and social (uplift) of Yimchungru tribe,” the message said.
“The community has loss a talented, dedicated and gifted leader which is difficult to fill the void. Lastly, convey its heartiest condolence the bereaved family members and YBBA and pray that our Almighty God will grant solace in this difficult time,” the organisations added. The Western Yimchungru Hoho will be conducting a “send off program” for Rev. M. Hankiu Joshua at Showuba village ground, the note informed. The burial will be conducted at Shiponger village, the organisations informed.
