Dimapur, April 27 (EMN): Yoddha Fighting Championship (YFC) is a pan India mixed martial arts tournament that has been hosting martial arts bouts for the past 3 years around India (Dimapur, Mumbai, Bangalore, Mokokchung, Bhubaneshwar, Delhi).
Best amateur talents in India have been identified via this tournament in its 1 season. Post these try outs (bouts of fighters competing for a spot in the finals), there have emerged semi-finalists in the following weight categories: Straw- weight, Bantamweight, Featherweight, Lightweight and Welterweight. We are now completing the Season 1 with the Semi-Finals & Finals of YFC at Kohima, Nagaland.
A champion would be declared in each weight category at the 2 day event commencing on 27th, 28th and 29th of April at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Kohima, with the tournament bouts and a multitude of exhibition bouts including a few women’s MMA bouts. There are a number of promising Naga athletes that have been competing with our promotion and have qualified for the tournament.
