Worshi­p icon Bob Fitts to lead praise in Kohima

Renowned Christian worship leader Bob Fitts will be leading praise sessions in Kohima town from Jan. 19, part of a three-day worship concert, till Jan. 21, in the State Academy Hall at the capital town. His presence will bring nostalgic moments of a time when Gospel songs such as Roman 16:19 and Blessed be the Lord God Almighty were a staple of most youths in Nagaland. The American praise and worship leader will be leading the congregation during the three-day praise and worship concert.
‘Praise Fiesta’ is the theme of the concert. Addressing a press conference at Seasons Café, the co-ordinator of the organisers Setuo Neikha said that the event was to encourage praise and worship teams in Nagaland when reaching out to win more souls for Jesus Christ through music. He informed that the event was being organised by young people from various Christian Revival churches in Kohima in collaboration with Pro Drivers. He said that a seminar and interaction also with Bob Fitts will be conducted on Jan 20. Sat. to train praise and worship teams.
The organisers are expecting people from Manipur, Arunachal, and Meghalaya among others to attend the event.
The free concert will start from 4:30 onwards. A seminar will be held on Sat. Jan. 20 from 10 am.
Local performers James Basnet and Jack Pucho will also take part in the praise and worship concert, the organisers informed.
Bob Fitts has been writing songs and leading people in worship since the early 1970s. Some the renowned songs from Bob’s collection are Blessed be the Lord God Almighty, Take My Healing to the Nations, He will come and save you, and Roman 16:19.

Bob Fitts has been at the forefront of worship leading and song writing with an international platform in live performance and recordings for over 30 years. Bob and his wife, Kathy, have made their home in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii since 1981. They have travelled to well over 50 nations to lead worship and teach at schools, events, conferences, ministries, and churches. Because of their extensive international travels, they make their church home at New Creation Church in Singapore, where they have had pastoral relationships since 1991.
In addition to his worldwide ministry as a leader of praise and worship, Bob and Kathy also founded Alabaster Ministries, a charitable organization that provides materially, financially and spiritually to fatherless and widows through practical acts of service and Christian worship.
Leading worship since the 1970s, Fitts gained International recognition when he started recording for Integrity Music’s “Hosanna” series. His songs such as “Blessed Be The Lord God Almighty,” “Take My Healing To The Nations,” “He Is Lovely,” “He Will Come And Save You” and “Glory Glory Lord” have blessed the church with a repertoire of praise to the King.
