The District Planning Development Board (DPDB) Kohima Village Adoption Committee in collaboration with District Agriculture Office, Department of Agriculture, Kohima organised a day long workshop on rodent management-cum-distribution of agricultural tools on September 12 at Village Council Hall, Kiruphema Bawe.

In his opening remark, SDO (C) Sechü Zubza and member of Village Adoption Committee, Mhomo Tungoe highlighted about the direct benefit transfer by linking Adhaar with bank accounts and also briefed the participants on various activities to be undertaken under DPDB the committee.

In the technical session, AO II, Kethoneilhou Vimera, spoke on scientific management of rodents, precautions on bamboo flowering, conservation of natural predators, observation of abnormal upsurge in rodent population, its mitigation and management practices.

The programme was followed by distribution of agricultural tools and implements under RKVY Kohima 2016-17, where around 70 farmers were benefitted.

The programme was chaired by District Agriculture Officer and Convenor of Village Adoption Committee. Vizonyu Liezie while invocation prayer was pronounced by Village Council Chairman, Kiruphema Bawe, Neiyiezeituo Hesielie and vote of thanks was proposed by member RKVY Management Committee, Keneiselhou.
