Dimapur, Jan. 27 (EMN): With the objective to train the Self Help Group (SHG) in utilizing and packaging of agricultural produces, the ATMA, Phek organised a training and farm visit to Dimapur from Jan. 22 to 24th. The organisers on Sat. informed about the programme.
A team of farmers, mainly women, led by Deputy Project Director Dr. Keviu Shuya visited Pristine Foods, an enterprise run by Kekhrongulo Kapfo, PuteuKapfo, and Neikhote Mekrisuh.
The team was taught how to use easily available raw materials such as ginger, gooseberry, wild apple, star fruits, mango, pomelo, rosella, and jamun etc. for producing candy, sauce, powdered products, squash and dried fruits.
Women were also trained on bio-fertilizer, packaging, advertisements, and pricing. The team also paid a visit to a piggery breeding unit in Dimapur.
