Wokha to host open dance competition

Wokha town will be hosting a dance competition dubbed the Open Dance Explosion Competition-3 on July 29 in the town’s hall. The event is a joint initiative of the Wokha Circle Students’ Union (WCSU) and the Wokha District Auto-rickshaw Union (WDAU).
The two organisations gave a press conference today offering updates about said event. The competition aims to give a platform and promotion to young dancers in the district and the state.
The completion was held in Wokha in 2013 and 2014.
The event manager of the programme, Chanbemo Humtsoe informed that the event will ‘bridge the gap of two years.’ He said that organizing an event for sports, cultural promotion and competitions can help one discover their inner potential. He hoped that the programme, with God’s blessing and support from the citizens, would be a grand success.
Former leaders of the WCSU were appreciated for taking up the initiative. The organisers have assured to render support in all possible way.
Trinity Mob Crew from Dimapur, the winners of the 2016 edition, will perform at the competition.
The sound system will be sponsored by King’s Sound.
Registration forms will be available at Lance Computer in Wokha; Oriflame Service point in Wokha and Scope Mobile Accessories shop, below the Airtel office in Wokha at the cost of Rs. 1,500 for individuals and groups.
