Wokha and Longsa village revive ancestral relationship

Dimapur, March 11 (EMN): Wokha and Longsa village along with its subordinate bodies revived their ancestral relationship, by organising a meeting-cum-picnic, on March 11 at Hammock Resort.
On the occasion, SDO Civil Wokha Sardar, Mhomo Tungoe, spoke on the responsibilities of Wokha and Longsa village with regard to developing Wokha town and the concerned villages.
He said the village council being the sole authority of the village should be aware of the various schemes and provisions that are being granted by the Central Government and also educated the citizens in making proper use of the provisions. The two villages being the guardians of Wokha town, he asserted that both the villages should be responsible in giving cooperation to the district administration and the authorities in not only developing the town, but also by maintaining peace and tranquility for the betterment of the society.
Both the village chairmen, Yanphamo Tungoe and Zayio Ezung also spoke about the relation of the two villages and encouraged in maintaining the same old relationship shared in the past.
President of Wokha village Eloe Hoho, Arhoni Erui and chairman of Longsa village council chaired the first and second seesions respectively. GB Longsa Village Council, Phyochamo Ezung and secretary of Wokha village VDB, Mhonthung Erui invoked God’s blessing while VDB secretary of Longsa village, Hayipemo Ezung proposed vote of thanks.
After the sessions, group discussion was held, followed by feast.
