Dimapur, Nov.23 (EMN): The Wokha administration has ordered the removal of all construction materials and off-road vehicles off the sides of roads and along NH-2 within a month.
Sub division officer (civil) for Wokha Lanusela Longkumer has issued a notification directing all citizens in concern to clear boulders, stone chips, sand and all such building materials and off-road vehicles lying along NH-2 (erstwhile NH-61) in Wokha town. They are to comply with the order within a period of one month from the date of the notice being issued.
Violation of the order shall lead to confiscation of said materials including unused vehicles to be auctioned off, the administration has stated.
No complaint will be entertained after the cut-off date, the notice stated. It was informed that the order was issued after observing that the obstructions including off-road vehicles had been obstructing the flow of traffic besides causing blockage of drainages along the roads.
