Wokha, May 24 (EMN): One person was killed on the spot on Thursday when a retaining wall, still under construction, collapsed at Airfield colony in Wokha town. It was reported that he was working at the site. The incident occurred at around 9 am.
The victim has been identified as Khonchamo Tsanglao of Elumyo village, aged 20. The body was retrieved with the help of residents of the locality and the district police.
It was informed that the Wokha district disaster management authority had made an ex-gratia payment of INR 1 lakh to the victim’s family.
