Dimapur, May 23 (EMN): Veterinary and Animal Husbandry (V&AH) has informed all livestock and poultry farmers in the State to approach the nearest Veterinary hospital, dispensaries, health centres and veterinary farms to get their animals vaccinated for prevention of poultry and animal diseases like Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), Block Quarter (BQ), Haemorrhegic Sepliceamis (HS), Enterotoxeamia (ETX), Classical Swine Fever (CSF), Canine Rabies and poultry disease like Ranikhet and Fowl Pox, Brucella Abortus Vaccine, Raksha PPR vaccine for sheep and Goat etc.
The department Director Dr. IP Khala said vaccine are sufficiently procured under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme for the Year 2016-17 and ready for the implementation in the State. All concerned officers of the veterinary health centres and farms are directed to keep vaccine ready without fail for convenience of the livestock and poultry farmers in the State.
Meanwhile, the Principal Veterinary Field Assistant Training Institute, Medziphema, has announced to conduct a mass rabies vaccination camp in its office on May 27 from 8:30 a.m. onwards with a nominal fees.
