Various districts hold DPDB monthly meetings

Dimapur, June 12 (EMN): The monthly meeting of Kiphire district planning and development board (DPDB) was held on June 12 in the deputy commissioner’s (DC) conference hall in Kiphire town.
According to a DIPR report, the board reviewed the previous meeting minutes regarding creation of new extra assistant commissioner (EAC) headquarter in Tepe area and the proposal submitted by Langzanger village for setting up a sub-centre at Langzanger village.The deputy commissioner, Mohammad Ali Shihab, has requested the officers to implement programmes successfully in the district. He informed the district officers to be prepared for their presentation as and when they were given opportunity.
DC also introduced a new member, Birjeet Singh, lead bank manager of Kiphire.In a related programme, Mangkolemba has held its monthly sub-divisional planning and development board (SDPDB) meeting on June 8 at Dobashi hall in Mangkolemba under the chairmanship of Longrineken, advisor of law and justice, border affairs, treasuries and account.

Addressing the meeting, the chairman has sought support and suggestions from the members in order to bring about change in the sub-division during his tenure.
The board has decided to forward to the government for approval regarding repair and renovation of sub-divisional education officer’s office building and shortage of staff at primary health centre in Longchem. The house also discussed on construction of Nagaland state transport garage near old cemetery site, extension of town road in Mangkolemba, and upgrading of JE (power) post to SDO post in Mangkolemba headquarter, the report added.

Tseminyu SDPDB also conducted its monthly meeting on June 11 at DB’s customary court at ADC office in Tseminyu under the chairmanship R Khing, advisor of veterinary and animal husbandry.

DIPR report stated that the house had discussed on creation of EAC headquarter in Kandi area, creation of post for sub-divisional officer (SDO) under irrigation and flood control, creation of post for SDO under power department, creation of the post of sub-registrar under cooperative society, and creation of sub-station of fire and emergency services. The board decided to recommend all the five cases to government for approval.

SDPDB also conducted a felicitation programme for meritorious students from Rengma community. Rasule Kemp, sociology subject topper in HSSLC from GHSS Tseminyu and recipient of governor’s award, and Bwenyu Kemp, gold medalist in B.Com (Honours) in accountancy and finance from Tetso College, were honoured during the programme.
Merit certificates were also given to various schools in Tseminyu sub-division with 100% pass percentage in HSLC examination for the year 2018. R Khing has appreciated the merit students and encouraged them to become good leader for the upcoming generation. Theodore Yanthan, ADC and vice chairman SDPDB, also congratulated the schools in Tseminyu with 100% pass percentage as well as to the meritorious students.
