UPHC Burma Camp new building inaugurated

Dimapur, August 21 (EMN): UPHC Burma Camp new building was inaugurated by Dr. N. Bendang Jamir, principal director of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima.
In his inaugural speech, Dr. Bendang Jamir highlighted the concept of communitisation and reiterated the importance of community and the department working together towards the betterment of the society. He also encouraged the medical staff to keep proper records of their activities and regularly submit reports to the higher authority. He also ensured to provide all necessities to make the UPHC a fully functional health unit so as to provide primary health care to the public.
CMO Dimapur, Dr. K. Vikato Kinimi, acknowledged the struggle and hardship faced by the community and extended his gratitude and appreciation to the land donor and community leaders for their support and hard work in making the vision of health care for the public a reality.
Short speeches were also delivered by N. Sneti Jamir, ex-chairman of UNBB and Thompsu Jemu, chairman of Walford Council.
The inaugural programme was chaired by Dr. Anguto, medical officer in-charge UPHC Burma Camp; invocation prayer was led by Vihoto, convenor Sema Baptist Church, UNB-B; brief introduction to the services and programme of NUHM was highlighted by Dr. Pusa, nodal officer of NUHM, while vote of thanks was proposed by Longti, chairman of HCMC UPHC and benediction was pronounced by the associate pastor of Lotha Baptist Church, UNB-B.
