Imphal, August 20 (EMN): Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Imphal to attend one day lecture on ‘New India Manthan-Sankalp Se Siddhi’ on Sunday. On her arrival at Imphal International airport, state commerce and industries minister Thongam Biswajit and education minister Th Radheshyam received her and drove straight to a hotel to attend the lecture.
Speaking to media prior to the lecture, the visiting minister said that necessary infrastructure development along the Indo-Myanmar border will be taken in association with the state government for the improvement of the trade and commerce activities in the path of central government’s Act East Policy.
Border Hatts will be also development, she added. The lecture session was also attended by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Information and Public Relations Minister Thongam Biswajit, BJP leader and Lok Sabha MP Pralhad Singh Patel, senior functionaries of the BJP Manipur.
