Dimapur, March 23 (EMN): Unified Juniors team emerged as the champion of the 1st Peli Sekrenyi penalty shoot-out at TM school ground which was organised under the aegis of Peli No. 15, L. Khel, Kohima village on Sat. March 23.
With the win, Unified Juniors pocketed a cash prize of INR 10,000 and running trophy.
Peli No 15(C) stood runners-up and received a cash prize of INR 7000.
Dziesekhrielie Tseikha of Unified Juniors bagged the best goal keeper title and received INR 2000.
Altogether, 32 teams participated in the tournament.
Earlier, the inaugural function was chaired by Khriesazo Liezietsu while short speech was delivered by Lhisemia Youth Organisation (LYO) general secretary Kekhrielelie Tseikha.
According to the organiser, this tournament will now become an annual feature.
