Kohima, Nov. 13 (EMN): The dead body of an unidentified girl aged between 15 to 17 years, and reportedly bearing multiple wounds, was found at an under-construction building at Seikhazou in Kohima on Monday.
According to the police, the deceased was fair in complexion, measured approximately 4 feet and 10 inches in height and was found wearing a black and white coloured sweatshirt with ‘PARIS’ written on it.
Workers engaged at the construction site said to have spotted the body in the building Tuesday morning after which they informed the authorities. The dead body is being kept at the North Police Station morgue for identification.
Kohima police has informed any person, relatives or community members who might know the deceased to contact the north PS in Kohima for more information.
Sources said the body was found battered, and there was suspicion of rape. However, police informed that investigation was on and post-mortem report was being awaited.
