Dimapur, March 21 (EMN): The Chakhesang Public organisation (CPO) has declared that it will ‘not allow any unwanted elements be in the form of extortion or demand to jeopardize and hamper’ a two-land work project stated to be the Chakabama-Zunheboto-Chozuba-Pfutsero road.
Contractors are also advised to ‘perform accordingly with the specification’ as assured in their contract agreement. The CPO will not compromise with any ‘second rated performance,’ the organisation cautioned in a press release.

The leaders of the CPO held a meeting on March 18 at Pfutsero town, in Phek district. The organisation took a number of resolutions during the meeting. This was stated in press release that the organisation issued on Thursday.

The organisation stated that the leaders iterated the CPO’s resolution of December 5 2018 concerning the two-lane road construction work from Chakabama to Zunheboto via Chozuba and Pfutsero to Phek via Sakraba.

The organisation expressed appreciation to the “two-lane committee members” for ‘rendering their untiring service, while dealing with various situations.’

The organisation also appreciated administrators and the Public Works Department (roads and bridges) ‘for extending all out efforts.’

‘Since the construction work is time bound project, CPO will not allow any unwanted element be in the form of extortion or demand to jeopardize and hamper the project,’ the organisation cautioned.

‘At the same time the contractors are also requested to perform accordingly with the specification sign in their contract agreement, for CPO will not compromise with any second rated performance.’
The organisation stated another resolution concerning drafting “customary law.”

‘The CPO customary law drafting committee has already been constituted. So all the constituent units are to extend full support and assist them in their queries and consultations. Preservation of traditional antiques is to be maintained and advocated by concerned village authorities,’ the press release stated.

The organisation stated in yet another resolution: That ‘peace and harmony been the prerequisite for any development, CPO express it gratefulness to various departments and nongovernmental organisations especially Phek College and Pfutsero town for making a visible recognition (sic) at state and national level.’
