Tsuknungakum Jamir is first Hornbill strongest man

Kisama, Dec. 5 (EMN): Tsuknungakum Jamir was crowned as the 1st Hornbill International strongest man on Dec. 5 at the Kisama heritage village, while Vizobeilie Punyü was adjudged as the runner-up.
Jamir emerged as the winner from among five contestants who took part in the competition. The other participants were Sedevizo Keretsü, Vethito M. Veyie, Veyikhro Vezuh and Seyieteiso Stanley Rutsa.
The strongest man received a cash award of INR 40,000, while the runner-up received INR 20,000.
In a separate category, Vizobeilie Punyü was also crowned as the Hornbill international fittest man, while Kutho Nyekha was adjudged the runner-up.
Even in this category, the winner and the runner-up both fetched a cash award of INR 40,000 and INR 20,000 respectively.
22 participants took part in the championship which was held at the amphitheatre, Kisama heritage village. The participants were Hepuni Kajükho, Rukuveto Nakro, Imliyanger Aier, Melevo Rose, Kedi Thol, Sedevizo Keretsü, Okoomen Jamir, Imrongchiba Imchen, Shanchothung K. Tungoe, Ketou Seyie, Rokongulie Lhoungu, Meguozhü Belho, Henkup Buchem, Nchumthung Tungoe, Icusing Iheilung, Vekuto Curah, Visasielie Zumu, Veyikhro Vezuh, Kevilelie Pienyü, Kevimerü Ringa and Thepfusabeilie Rutsa.
Meanwhile, Hepuni Kajükho was crowned as Mr. Hornbill 2017. He was adjudged as the winner after assessing the performance of all the participants who took part in the competitions of the strongest man and fittest man competitions.
The day’s championship was organised by Zumu Gym in collaboration with Tourism department, Government of Nagaland.
