Tripura, Assam CMs condemn terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir
Agartala, Feb. 15 (PTI): Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb has condemned the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which left 40 CRPF personnel dead on Thursday.
“The attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama is a shameful act of cowardice. I pray for the quick recovery of the injured. Our nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of our martyrs,” Deb tweeted.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal extended his condolences to the family members of martyred trooper Maneswar Basumatary, who hailed from the state, and said that his sacrifice in the line of duty would be remembered by the whole nation.
“His martyrdom would keep inspiring all those engaged in protecting the country besides making the fight against terrorism more intensified,” Sonowal said.
The chief minister also reviewed the law and order situation in the state after the terror attack on a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
The chief minister directed Assam Director General of Police Kuladhar Saikia to take all necessary steps to ensure that the law and order situation in the state is not disturbed and forces inimical to the state’s interests are not allowed to raise their heads.
