TR Zeliang’s group advises bureaucrats to be cautious

Dimapur, July 10 (EMN): The MLAs supporting former chief minister TR Zeliang have issued an advisory note directed at the state’s bureaucracy in the wake of the series of orders that are being brought out by the government, mostly against them.
A press statement was given out under the banner of the Media Cell of the NPF Legislature Party by MLAs that are currently camped at Kaziranga on Monday.
“We are constrained to issue this statement because of the series of decisions that have been taken by an unmandated Chief Minister Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu during the last few days. It seems obvious that Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu is the only person in the State who is deeply rooted in hypocrisy and against all conceivable democratic ideas devoid of any political morality, but is filled with vindictiveness and greed for power. It is therefore cautioned to the bureaucratic community in the State to be very watchful and meticulous while issuing official orders, whether legal or illegal, even though there maybe tremendous pressure from above to do the same,” the press release stated.
The press release also cautioned the AHoDs and HoDs to be more watchful so that their actions which may have been done under pressure from incumbent chief minister, does not attract any legal action against them.
It further stated, “We hope that the respected bureaucratic Community will take this statement in a positive perspective and not construe it as power mongering.
Our only interest is to safeguard and accord due respect and humility to all the rank and file of the state bureaucracy”.
They also stated that they would want to convey a “clear message” to all concerned that a popular government mandated by the people will soon be installed in Nagaland within the next few days and all the decisions taken during the last few days will be effectively “reviewed and nullified” once this popular government is put in place.
