Time to vote for better Nagaland: Kaheli

Dimapur, August 11 (EMN): As part of Election Commission of Election (ECI) initiative, a Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign organised by Deputy Commissioner and District Election Office, Zunheboto on August 10 at VDB hall, Zunheboto.
FBBS Colors Femina Miss India Nagaland and district icon, Kaheli Chophy, said the vision for maximum participation and providing an opportunity to the youth to select their leaders has become inevitable which is the right of every citizens of India.
‘It is our legitimate right and no vote should be left out as even one vote matters. When we vote, we can make government better or worse which in turn make people’s lives better or worse,’ stated Kaheli Chophy.
Lamenting on the sorry state of affairs with bad roads, poor electricity and pathetic infrastructures, the Femina Miss India Nagaland said, “Our future is at stake. Exhorting the gathering and stakeholders, she said it is high time especially for younger generation to value their votes.
“Let none buy or sell vote as time has come for us to vote for better Nagaland. It is time to realise the true potential of the power of voting by every sections of the society- the rich and the poor, the literate and the illiterate, the young and the old,’ Kaheli stated.
Short speeches were also delivered by EAC Wiridin, EAC Arhomo, ZTYO representative and BLO Kahuto, while special number was presented by students of Emmanuel School. The programme was chaired by SDO (C), Er. Namang Sepong Chang and the vote of thanks was proposed by AEO, Chisho K Swu.
