To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. Proverbs 8:13

This verse is often overlooked and as it states, the clear words of what God hates are vividly portrayed. The pagans acknowledges their gods which are idols, but we acknowledge our God who is true and living. For as in the church sin is preached against, pride is preached against but the latter three are seldom preached. The truth of faith is that relationship is the very foundation of it and as it holds the key of life and death, our faith must rise higher in the truth. There may be appreciation to some spoken words but conviction can only come from the Holy Spirit. The faith of God’s Church is sacred and as it is holy, God’s feelings must be revered. Sin does not build relationship, pride does not but love does. For as we praise God so must our lives shine in the powers of it.

The rebukes of the scripture hurts more when there are much sins but when we are washed and cleansed from all evil wed begin to enjoy our relationship with God. The joy of salvation is not in sin, neither in betrayal but in love and faithfulness. Thus as the covenant is our relationship with God must be spotless and blameless. Listen to this: There will only be more rebukes with more sins but the joy of relationship will be felt more when the covenant is honored more. The scripture states it in Job, “And he said to man; The fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.” ( Job 28:28 ) This message should ring loud in our hearts as wed get closer in our relationship with God. The truth of it is what wed preach and our prayer is for God to effect the changes in everything. The salvation of God is within us.
