The way we were created to love and care for each other is one of the greatest gift God has given unto us. The care, love and the affection we have for each other are what compliments the gift of God. We were created just the way God wants us to be. God created man and woman that they can be a blessing to each other. They were created to love each other. Life is beautiful when our relationship with our spouse is wonderful. Man and woman were created that they could enjoy life together and worship the creator together. The relationship between man and woman is not only about reproduction but also to enjoy life as they live on. They were created that they would bear children and be faithful to one another. But things didn’t happen as planned because of their one act of sin. The mistake they committed made them lose their innocence. Their eyes were opened to the knowledge of good and evil. That was when they began to realize that they were naked. At the instance they were banished from the Garden of Eden which was once their comfort zone. Because of their sin of disobedience their future generations started committing adultery with the wives of their neighbors. The virtue was lost. Their innocence faded. Faithful couples were few in number but the wayward couples began to grow in number.
Generations after generations were affected. And we are the generation suffering because of the sins of our ancestors. A story is told of a young couple who got married because the boy got the girl impregnated. The intriguing thing is that even after they married they both lived wayward lives. The husband spent his time at the bars with different girls every night and the wife slept with her husbands friends every night. This sounds abit explicit but the truth is that that’s the way it is. Its sad to state that this is the condition many couples are in. But apart from the unfortunate ones there are those who are living contented lives with their spouse. It’s only those couples who understands the true meaning of relationship stays together. Lovers who understands each other stands by each other even during hard times. Relationship is a gift but true love is the virtue that binds couples together. The reason why many relationship fail is because they don’t allow God to create the right relationship. The Word states that there is a time for everything. In relation to what the Word states many marry the wrong person at the wrong time.. in view of this I keep on saying to my clients that humans makes mistakes but God never makes a mistake. I often say to my close ones that I will love my wife more than my life. And we will love God more than our lives.. I guess the quotation is what describes a Christian romance best. A God fearing couple will always pray together and be there for each other in their time of needs.
Relationship is a gift but faithfulness is the virtue which compliments the gift. Man and woman were created to enjoy the company of each other. Many fail to consider relationship as a gift because of their ignorance of it. Enjoying our life with the right person can make our life worth living. The person we share our life with can be a blessing to us if we are truly made for each other. The way to enjoy life is to choose the right person to enjoy our life with. A very close friend once said to me “relationship is not an exam to pass or fail. It is not a competition to win or lose, she further stressed by saying that relationship is a feeling in which you care for someone more than yourself. Its only those who understands what relationship is all about are the ones who values the gift of relationship. So be one among them and enjoy your life with the person of God’s choice. You will love it.
