The Eight Commandment

“THOU SHALT NOT STEAL”; this, the Eighth Commandment, handed down by God, The Father, to Moses, on Mount Sinai, is not only one of the cornerstones of Christianity, but the very Foundation of Every Civilisation on Earth. No People, Race or Civilisation has ever existed nor can exist if the Sanctity of Property, personal or common, is not maintained.

Nowhere in the Constitution of India or in any of its Bylaws does it state that a Government Official is entitled to deduct money meant for the common man or for common purposes. So why does nearly every wannabe tin-pot dictator of a Minister, Bureaucrat or Government Employee in Nagaland deduct money meant for the Common Man as if it were his God-Given Right? When you take something that does not belong to you, it is called robbery; calling it a deduction does not alleviate the crime of theft. All of us have heard of cases wherein a certain percentage of amounts sanctioned for contracts, works, plans and schemes has been deducted under various heads and citing different excuses. This is illegal and has led to the deterioration of everything in Nagaland.

I rail against our Legislators and Bureaucrats because they have the power to stop this theft; but do nothing except take the Lion’s Share of the Loot. But the real culprits, with extremely rare exceptions, are the Cashiers and Accountants of the various departments along with their Heads of Department and Staff, down to the Office Peon, in the Offices across Nagaland. They are the Rats that gnaw away at the Flesh of Nagaland; growing Fat in anonymous luxury, while Nagaland crumbles before our eyes. They teach the Legislators, Bureaucrats and “Freedom Fighters” the ways and means to cheat the system and the People of Nagaland

All this is taking place in Nagaland because it is a Socially Accepted Practice. In every Society on Earth, thieves steal under cover of darkness or in stealth. Thieves steal from those who have more than them. And thieves hide their ill-gotten wealth. But we steal in broad daylight, without the least bit of shame and from the poorest of the poor; we flaunt our Loot in broad daylight, before everyone. We Nagas praise and extol those thieves, giving them seats at the head of our tables, put them on pedestals in our societies and offering them places of honour in our churches. For this is how we treat our Legislators, “Freedom Fighters”, Bureaucrats, Technocrats and Government Employees, who, with rare exceptions, are nothing more than daylight robbers.

We have no choice but to approach the already swamped Judiciary to redress every little bit of injustice, because the cries of the Just are drowned in the clamour of the Greedy; but again, the odds of success are low, because the Investigative Agencies have been either co-opted into this web of corruption, or been hamstrung by it. But there is one thing we can do, and that is to stop fawning on them; that is something every righteous person can do. Stop respecting them for their ill-gotten wealth, don’t be impressed by the things they have built or purchased with their theft. And, most importantly, stop giving them importance in our Church Organisations.

We are very ready to condemn the petty thief who steals to survive; the prostitute who sells her body to feed her family, the drug addict, alcoholic and adulterer. But what about these bandits, prostitutes, addicts and adulterators sitting smug as hypocritical Pharisees in our Government Offices?

They are Thieves because they steal from all Nagaland; they are Prostitutes because they sell their abilities and positions for money; they are addicted to money, more than a drunkard to alcohol or an addict to drugs (for drunkards and addicts know when to stop or else black out or overdose), for these money addicts know not when to stop, and their greedy addiction is infinite, they would swallow All Nagas and Nagaland itself. But most of all, they are Adulterers; for they profess Christianity in Church on Sundays; but cohabit with Lucifer and all his Demons for every second of the rest of their measly, grubby, thieving and thugging lives.

If an adulterer or adulteress can be expelled from a Church and excommunicated for adultery, I challenge all Church Organisations in Nagaland to explain why these thieves and adulterers, who steal from every Naga; and who consort and fornicate with the very Devil Himself, should not be expelled and excommunicated from All the Churches in Nagaland. For when we abandon the basic concept of Civilisation and Christianity, we become nothing more than Barbaric Satanists.

God save our Nagaland
