Turn from evil and do good; then you will live in the land forever. Psalm 37:27
For as the scripture came into this world, its contents will be seen more clearly when God judges the world. Every verse of it speaks of either holiness or sin and the nature of it are directed to the eternal. The Lord’s hatred for sin is evidenced and as representatives of God’s first love it is expected of us to honor what God honors. There are many living carefree lives and such are the ones who rushes to parties rather than rushing to the church. In the given verse the land referred to here is the place where God dwells along with the angels.
This verse speaks of God’s people living in God’s goodness and the promise is also given for those whose hearts are
with God. The written truths of God’s word cannot be thrown away after it is read, for as sacred as its contents are, the church must know better of how they should live. The Lord does not direct anyone to sin but to do good and as he scripture teaches, the followers of it must be well established in the powers of it. Even as this verse teaches, the place of eternal light is also reserved for those who are of the truth. The Lord is the judge.
