Teens Games 2015, organized by Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum Sunday School Department, got underway on July 1 at Mon Town Local Ground under the theme, ‘An Experience That Will Linger.’ Akangtem Sangtam, World Vision India Mon AP in his short sharing during the opening ceremony said that the program will help the participants to have an experience that will linger a lifetime. While reminding that God loves all people, he said that World Vision India gives priority to people before money, structure, system and other institutional machinery. He further added that it act in ways that respect the dignity, uniqueness and intrinsic worth of every person. While stating that World Vision India also promote children’s club where they play active roles for the development of their community, Akangtem requested the public leaders and church leaders to support the children department so that they can grow with the vision and achieve in life. He added that there is no other more powerful directing force in human behaviour than belief. Your beliefs have the power to create and to destroy, said the speaker.
Mongzeung Mpon, Pastor Jalukie Baptist Church while introducing Teens Games said that it is not only the games but it’s a global community games. It is the movement of the kids and get together games.
Dr. Botoholi, Education and Communication Secretary NBCC also gave a short speech. The resource team were from Kingdom Stewards, Jalukie. The partner of the programs is World Vision India Mon Area program, NBCC, Kingdom Stewards and KBBB. The children from the age of 13 – 18yrs are participating in the 3 days program.
