Teachers from Mumbai visit Nagaland

Dimapur, June 16 (EMN): Teachers of SCD Barfivala High School, Andheri (W), Mumbai, visited various schools in the districts of Dimapur and Kohima under the “Teachers exchange programme” from June 4 to 7. The programme was initiated by the State Governor, PB Acharya.

The main objective of the programme was to understand the culture and education system of Nagaland.

On visiting the institutes in Dimapur and Kohima, the teachers observed eagerness among the students to excel in academics and competitive urge to participate and excel in sports.

The visiting teachers remarked that education was a basic human right and capable of bringing any desired change and uplift the human mind and society. They expressed enthusiasm in visiting Nagaland again and do some constructive work in the field of education for the children of the State.

A press release issued by PRO to the Governor stated that education plays a vital role in the development and progress of society. Just as food is necessary for a healthy body, it stated that receiving proper education is important to lead a happy and successful life.

It added that education promotes physical, mental, and social wellbeing.
