DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 24
Some tea garden workers from Hoolunguri Tea Estate in Assam-Nagaland border under Nakachari police station, Jorhat district were severely assaulted by miscreants from Nagaland side around 3 pm on Wednesday. Reports reaching here said, around 4 tea garden workers were beaten up by the miscreants when the former were in the area collecting firewood. According to sources, 2 victims are in critical conditions and they have been referred to JMCH. A separate source said that the local MLA (Mariapani) has taken the injured to a hospital late this evening.
