Dimapur, July 27: Continuing its success story, Tata Motors has rolled out an extensive campaign to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its popular light commercial vehicle – Tata 407. Launched in 1986, Tata 407 range has sold over six lakh vehicles and continues to be the most popular choice of light commercial vehicles for many budding entrepreneurs with 7 out of every 10 vehicles sold in the 4T category, resulting in 60% market share. Since three decades, around 50% of its owners are first-time users and it has been providing an opportunity for self-employment in India.

Available both in diesel and CNG options and tonnage ranging from 2.2 to 4.2 tonnes payload, Tata 407 goods transportation portfolio has been expanded to comprise trucks, tippers, pick-ups and vehicles for agri/food products, construction, light mining and a whole host of services. The portfolio has been regularly upgraded based on the company’s own R&D and customer feedback on operating economy, cabin convenience and safety.
